We recognize and understand that program fees represent an investment and sometimes a barrier for participation in programs abroad. Andégo Internships Abroad is committed to expanding access to international programs to promote intercultural understanding, linguistic appreciation, and personal growth for all that desire! Please check out the various resources below to help fund your year abroad. If we've missed something or if you have additional questions, please reach out to us at gapyear@andego.org .
Andégo Sponsored Aid
- Our program:
Andégo strives to keep our program fee feasible for participants and families whereas many gap year and study abroad programs are inaccessible (in excess of $15,000 for 4-10 months). Andégo's fee for 10 months abroad being $7,475 equals $745USD per month. This cost also covers room & board during your year. In addition, you will receive a ~$450USD per month stipend during the year bringing the monthly program fee to $295USD per month ($745 program fee-$450 stipend=$295).
- Andégo General Needs-Based Scholarships:
due April 25th, 2025 at or before 11:59pm Pacific! We will distribute 100% of our scholarship pool in increments of at least $500 amongst applicants with demonstrated financial need and a commitment to their community. Here are the required steps:
Be on-track for your participation in the Language Assistant Internship program.
Submit a letter to gapyear@andego.org explaining how receiving this scholarship would positively impact your ability to more fully benefit from your year abroad. You do not need to share specific financial information but should make clear the impact the scholarship could have.
Request a letter of recommendation from someone OTHER than your French teacher to gapyear@andego.org commenting on your commitment to academic success & community building (community being the community at large or those with whom you come in contact- classmates, teammates, neighbors, etc.).
Our scholarship committee hopes to make decisions within 10 days of the deadline and we will notify all applicants via email.
We provide these needs-based scholarships to expand access to international programs regardless of a student's background and situation. We do ask that you apply for these monies only if it will make a significant impact on you and your family's ability for you to participate in this life-changing year in France.
