Abroad

You shouldn't have to choose between gaining professional experience & traveling the world

So don't.

Immerse yourself in France while teaching English! Learn more about our gap year program here & our language homestay program here.

Launched in 2015, Andégo programs aim to connect our partner schools & families in France with engaged, balanced, and motivated adventurers seeking an intercultural & professional experience abroad. Our belief and mission is that immersive intercultural experiences promote cross-cultural understanding, create ever-lasting friendships, and open innumerable opportunities. These opportunities lead to growth in global understanding which we believe to be essential not only for individuals, but to create a more harmonious inter-dependent world. We work closely with our French partner organizations, our partner schools, and local families to ensure the most rewarding & safest program possible.

We can't wait to see where YOUR adventure leads!

Félicitations Sam & Ivy!!!

Recipients of the AATF Francophone Studies Stipend!

April 2022

Future Andégo Language Assistants Sam & Ivy were each recognized with a $2,000 stipend by the American Association of Teacher's of French (AATF) for their commitment to furthering their studies of the French language and Francophone cultures during their gap year in France.

The AATF awards 8-10 of these stipends yearly and Sam & Ivy join Leo (Annecy '21) as the 2nd & 3rd Andégo assistants in 2 years to receive this disctinction!

Sam, a senior at South Salem High School in Salem, OR, impressed the AATF jury with his interest in combining his linguistic talents and cultural curiosity with his aptitude for music by discovering and playing artists like DeBussy.

Ivy, a senior at South Salem High School in Salem, OR, was recognized for her willingness to find avenues to explore and practice her French language skills by hosting French students in the past. Ivy's linguistic talents were also applauded as she speaks Spanish, has received distinction on the National French Test, and has recently picked up German classes.

Whether motivated by a desire to explore the world, solidify your language skills, experience the teaching profession, take a break from the academic track, increase your confidence and independence, or all of the above, a Gap Year is a tremendous avenue for college students to get ahead by getting away!

COVID-19 Update:
